EPI Program:
· Name of the Programme: Expanded Immunization Programme
· Program implementer: Upazila Health and Post Officer and all health workers under his jurisdiction.
· Funding and Other Supporters: Ministry of Health and Welfare, World Health Organization.
- Aims and Methods: Prevention of 08 diseases of children through vaccination and prevention of night sickness and malnutrition through vitamin A capsules. Maternal and neonatal tetanus immunization through maternal KTT vaccination. Replenish vitamin A deficiency in mothers and newborns by feeding vitamin A capsules to mothers. The main goal is to reduce child morbidity and mortality.
· Beneficiary population covered: All women aged 15-49 years and all children aged 0-60 months.
EOC Program:
· Program Name: Maternity Services
· Program implementers: Upazila Health and PWD Officers and doctors and nurses of non-EOC affiliated hospitals.
· Funding and other facilitators - Ministry of Health and Welfare, UNICEF.
· Aims and Approach - Safe motherhood, safe delivery and reduction of infant and maternal mortality.
· Beneficiary population covered - All expectant mothers.
ARI Programme:
· Program Name - ARI.
· Program implementers: Supervisors/upazila health and post post officers including all doctors of the institution,
Medical Assistant, Pharmacist, Nurse.
· Funding and other facilitators - Ministry of Health and Welfare, UNICEF.
· Aims and methods - Treat and reduce the incidence of pneumonia and bronchiectasis in children.
· Beneficiary population covered: All children.
TB and Leprosy Control Programme:
· Name of the Programme: Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme.
· Program Implementer: BRAC and Department of Health jointly.
· Funding and Other Facilitators: Ministry of Health and Welfare.
· Aim and Methodology: The main aim is to detect and treat open cases and cure the disease
control
· Beneficiary population covered: All population of Bangladesh.
Arsenic Program:
· Program Name: Arsenicosis Diagnosis Program.
· Program implementer: Upazila Health and Post Office and all health workers under his jurisdiction.
· Funding and Other Facilitators: Ministry of Health and Welfare.
· Aims and Methods: The main aim is to diagnose and treat arsenicosis.
· Beneficiary population covered: All population.
Apart from this, treatment services for all other types of diseases are provided.
